Get paid and be happy?

Posted by Nikita at 6:30 PM
Is there any enjoyable job you could never get tired of doing everyday of your life? There are days when I work I am totally 100% in it but more than half of my working time, I invested in daydreaming of the day I can finally quit and "rest".

A friend said if you know how to be thankful and grateful you will appreciate your job more and not keep on complaining on how much you hated or bored with your job. She got a point there.

To be thankful for having a job means, looking forward to give your best in your daily task. How if you are neither dislike it nor enjoy it? Since work is always related to taking things seriously, maybe it is hard to say it is fun because fun is normally associated with "play". Then maybe as a solution, we are going to need to split these two things and do both things in a day to have a balanced state of mind. We need to work seriously to get things done followed by playing hard to have fun. That way we will be able to get things done plus have fun. It doesn't matter if its not killing two birds with one stone. We just need to throw two stones to kill two birds. At least, we could have both. Shall we? Just throwing an idea.

Who never get tired of doing the same thing for years? If not for the need to put meals on the table I think everybody is looking forward to change work as frequent as possible. But living is always related to becoming stable economically and emotionally. But to be financially/economically stable, we need to have a job that continually meets our financial needs. On the other hand, to be emotionally stable means we need to have a partner and later a family to give us love and attention. All of this required us to have a stable job which for the long run may chained us to the same thing for the long haul.

Consider having wealth as means to do thing as your heart desire. What would you do? This is a question mark for me since I have not seen one who have so much of wealth they no longer need to work for life. I did meet those who have means to live with or without a job but it feels like they are also longing for something. This one girl that I know of always thinking about basking in the sun and buying pretty dresses as well as lots and lots of make up. She even have countless relationship with no string attach or left by the man after a month or two. If you talk to her in person, you can feel, how hollow she is. There is no real bonding that you can feel with her and sometimes she is wallowing in her own fantasy world she hardly put her feet on the ground or listened to you well enough to understand what you are trying to tell her.

This left me with one question; if having wealth doesn't make you enjoy life more in having choices to do what you want to do then what will?

What will make you say this is what I want for the rest of my life???

What will fill the void in your life? Money? fame? love? If you have all of these, Will you be at last the happiest man on planet?

will I?

On question of job alone, I am going to answer...I am going to be happy if my work continually gives me the challenges that I love to throw myself in. Unfortunately, challenges are something you don't always get to choose for yourself. so..DOWNTIME..
Who knows what tomorrow brings??

Maybe we just need to learn to appreciate whatever comes our way be it good or bad. The choice is still yours and just let it be an open-ended question.
