To Be Strong

Posted by Nikita at 8:00 AM 0 comments
To attract people you need to be a  strong person. Why? Because people naturally attracted to those who have strengths. Ironically those who attracted people didn't become attractive because they work hard to please other people. They simply become admirable because they work hard on themselves to be good at what they are doing and in doing that they become  STRONG in character and with STRONG presence. Isn't that something to ponder?

The minute you try to imitate other people you lose yourself and become a weak person. We should never do that. We must become strong by believing in our own strength.

If you try to live this life thinking that people will remember you better because you have been good to them, I think you will probably get that wrong. People seldom remember you because you have been good to them unless you are the lovers and the one being loved. If you are just somebody, well..they might remember you when they need another round of kindness or so called help. But if you are strong, unique and someone with your own distinct character people will never forget you.

To stand out in the crowd it doesn't mean you have to dress up in certain way that will attract people. You need to catch people for the long run, so what you need to do is just to be comfortable with yourself. People stay because of who you really are and it will be better if they are attracted to you because you have that STRONG presence that nobody else have.

You only feel weak if you have not found your true strength but don't worry about it because in time you will find your strength. You just need a lot of mistakes to recognize your strong points. Okay??

Just sending my encouragement and love this early morning.. :)

Luv you all

DIY

Posted by Nikita at 9:00 AM 0 comments
What comes to mind when DIY is being spelled out?

I am sure there are a lot of things that we can do ourselves. It is not limited to sewing your own clothes or other  project that don't include hiring other people to do it or buying ready made stuff with money.

Since I get serious with the so called aggressive saving, I have been realizing a few other things about DIY. Last year I started with cooking for myself which includes preparing meal for my breakfast and for my lunch so I don't have to go out to have my meal. This year, because I realized even more the importance of saving money, I noted and realized a few other things that may help me a lot in my goal to save more.

I realized that, DIY is not something that upon mentioning makes you feel stressed because of the amount of time and hardwork that you need to spend on it. DIY is also not something that can be done only by those with a lot of time to spend.

I realized that DIY is an essential. It is something that makes you keep away from being totally enslaved by money.

I have went through a few stages in my life where money is being the question. When I was very young, I knew little about money but I knew that my parents were going through a hard time to make ends met. I understood then, that It was important to have money to survive.

When I was a teenager, I have money enough to get by my schooling years. But money was never a problem because I lived simply and my goal back then was just to excel in my study.  There were no such things as going to the hairdresser to cut my hair. No make up kit, no new shoes or sandals every now and then and definitely no cute stuff.

I learned about handling money only when I started working. (Just like everyone else). Because I don't want to make a lot of mistakes about handling money, I read a lot of book about financial management but of course theory is often not always practical because different people will have different situation and we often handle money depend on our own unique situation.

I must confess at one point of my life I was a little obsessed with the idea of "getting rich". Thank God just when I was about to get confuse with the whole idea about being rich I read a verse in a bible (Mat 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well )& coincidentally I attended a youth conference that speak about the same term. I thank God at that time that I was being taught at the right time to look for what is much more important to me before wealth and honor which is seeking for God's wisdom.

When things has started on the straight line, I have more and more clearer ideas about money and I am happy that it is never about money after all.

Like when the eye of my mind was opened to understand the meaning of DIY. I realized that life is about doing things as in encouraging yourself to become creative, innovative and also becoming active & that is not because you don't have money. It is because there are plenty of ways to live in this world without being obsessed about having more money to spend. Right??

I Am Happiest When..

Posted by Nikita at 1:30 AM 0 comments
I am happiest when I start doing something that I truly like...for example "reading a slide"...ehmmm..* smiling broadly.

Dear Chinggus..
Since life become busier, I feel much better about life. I am now mostly occupied doing things that I love. How nice is that. Well..I must say...the secret in passing time wonderfully is by engaging in work every second of the day without feeling pressured by the demand of the task. Right??

Today, I have started doing something in my work place. Because of that, I am truly excited and looking forward to expand my knowledge and expertise in the so called new "task".

I think that, being a professional it means that we don't just do a task but also have the credibility and competency to run the task we are responsible with. I really don't like being a half-baked worker. When I do something, I want it to be perfect. Of course perfection is not something you can achieve easily but I feel that it is something that I must achieve. I want to become someone reliable for my opinion and the job that I did.

I think, it is given that an employee must give his or her best when she or he is performing a task. But also it is also given that the same person must continue on learning and expanding her or his knowledge and not  become complacent.

You have to train yourself to do work until you become excellent at it. Why? Because you ...could be the only one who can do it. :)

Okay..

Happy Working all and GBU!!

Serve Well Happily

Posted by Nikita at 6:30 PM 0 comments
First of all..let me just say..I am sorry for not updating this blog as often as I want it to be. The thing is, I really am occupied lately. The burden of work have increased. But I am not complaining. I am actually happy. I think that, what you can really do as an act of "revenge" to those people who keeps piling up a job for you to do is to do it well and MOST of all to do it HAPPILY.

Lately, the word stress has not been so much on my mind. I mean, how I perceived stress has changed dramatically. Of course I did get annoyed and I know its not right to feel that way, but at least at the back of my mind I understand that it is not something that I should continue on feeling.

It is also difficult to change your perspective when you are surrounded by negative influence. But I am going to learn to keep my attention on what is the priority for me despite the difficult circumstances. My priority is to SERVE WELL HAPPILY.

I think when it comes to attitude, the way to change is to do it one step at a time. You aim for the right goal or right attitude and keep on persevering until you reach your goal. Yess??...please look at it that way! ya??

Well..I really am satisfactorily tired today. My duties are lining up but I am not stressed out right now. I am happily organizing and doing each task one by one wholeheartedly. To me doing my job to the best of my ability is one thing that I want to be proud of at the end of the day.

Just..enjoy your work ya..!!!

Love you all...
;)

Because of 50 cents

Posted by Nikita at 7:30 PM 0 comments
50 cents is not much. However, lately that 50 cents is something that keeps recurring in my mind.

When I was a kid, my parents worked really really hard to make ends met. During those time my mother who was then working as an attendant at a dispensary, always brought my third brother along with her to her workplace. That was how he learned something very important from her.

Because of 50 cents (a price to catch a pick up truck which was a common transportation for people to commute to places in those days) my mother and brother walked to and fro the Dispensary. They did that to save 50 cents. :) It was not an easy journey. They had to walk very far even over a hill.( I don't remember how far but by car it can be around 20 minutes or more??) It was not such a nice road.

Nevertheless that 50 cents is something that my third brother never let go in his life. He really humbles me that way. While I live trying to find temporary fulfillment, he lives exactly to prepare for the future.

For a while I have been blinded by what I think is right for me as in enjoying my youth as it is and enjoying my time now. I do think of the future but not aggressively. In my line of thinking, I should be happy now, buying whatever pleases me and just invest a little albeit consistent for the future. Maybe that is not so wrong. The wrong thing about it is that, I should invest more for the future rather than splurge on things for now to make me feel happy. Right??? I mean if you really think very deeply about life..whatever we are doing today, it is suppose to be our preparation for tomorrow, right???  And also..I think there is nothing wrong with trying to keep up an image but if you have to look at it in a different angle, my mother never owns anything (jewellery or new clothes) when we her kids were growing up. She invested all of her income for our future and her future so she didn't have to suffer in her old age. She did that and now we became who we are now and my parents are doing fine. I am proud of her. I think she is amazing and she did a great job both for her children and her own future.

In the past we never really have much and even now, even though every one of us is working hard, we just merely able to get by (but of course far better than how we were). But we are most certainly blessed indeed because none of us is sick from untreatable disease, our parents are still healthy and living their old life doing what they want to do and most of all we have each other to turn to when things get tough.

You know, I am thankful that I have all that. I am happy that I have my brothers and my parents. I am happy that I am still able to learn from them even now. I am so blessed that because I have brothers by my side I can assess my life from time to time and I can listen to their word of wisdom or learn from how they live their life now.

Indeed I am so blessed.

I think from now on, I will learn to save more aggressively for future sake. :) Come...lets do it together..ya??

Okay chinggus...

XOXO.

To Build Real Relationship

Posted by Nikita at 10:55 PM 0 comments
Working and living happens at the same time. However, most of the time the people that comes to our life especially during our adult life when we are in the working stage are mostly people related to our work. Sometime we relate to them mainly because they are our co-workers or if they happens to be our suppliers we relate to them for business purpose. Rarely we relate to people because we wanted to build a real relationship with them as friends. They are merely an acquaintances.

I realized living while working without real relationship can be very lonesome. Because I don't want to live a lonely life, I decided to appreciate everyone in my working place not just as office mate but also as real friend. I want to understand and relate to them as friend because I really do not want to see them outside of the office and feel like they are strangers or someone I could not relate beyond the office work. My way of approaching things is that I try not to be someone who loads people with works that I myself do not want to do and at the same time I try to do as much work as possible or else I do my best to guide them to how I want things to be done by proper instructions and guidelines.

The most important thing is, when I feel a connection with a colleague, nowadays I try my best to build a real relationship. In my opinion, if we have a real relationship with our colleagues at the workplace, even if we somehow made a mistake, a friend will be more understanding and won't be so harsh to back stab you or bad mouth you. Of course it doesn't mean I do not want to be criticized but there is always a difference between a concerned friend and plain critic. Right?

Right there...

Just a simple thought from me...for today...

Luv you all.

Your Personal Space is your Identity..

Posted by Nikita at 6:00 AM 0 comments
Since 5S started in my workplace..I mean really takes its effect in my workplace, I have been really enjoying myself doing all the arranging and decoration. I am fully using my imagination as if the whole room is in my head and I am picking stuff from the sky full of imagination to fill it up with things that I think will make it tremendously unique but nice. I am determined to make my room, a room that only me will be able to create it in such a way. If people walk in inside my office I would let them see who I am. That is my goal.

This of course reminds me of one thing which is "identity". There are limits in conversation when we are trying to get to know people. However what lacking in words can be made up with his or her personal space. When you try to get to know someone you will know that person better when you see her or his room. This is of course not a fresh idea. It is an idea that everyone knows. This is how some reality show is made of. I don't remember the title but it was a show where a man or a girl was brought into different types of rooms and let her or him made a decision to date that person based on how she or he perceived his or her personality from the things she or him has in the room. I can agree to that. :)

Even bacteria only shows its true characteristic if you put it by itself or purified it in a media without the presence of other bacteria. A man is no different. Everyone needs a space for themselves to project their identity. It is the place where you can let people read you like a book and grabs their heart or scares them away.

I truly believe that if we really want to be happy, we must really do things that make us happy and one of those things are decorating your house or your office in such a way that brings you not only peace but joy because of how things are placed and arranged in front of you. It doesn't mean you are hoarding stuffs. It means you start to look for things that really makes you happy and try to get it (even if it cost you some money) because you need to enjoy life as it is. You can't keep postponing life to enjoy it later. You must enjoy it now and especially so where you are living and working.

Back to my story. I have bought this mini box to shelf my few favourites books and books that I am reading now (Kafka on the Shore and Wild Swans) to  bring to the office along with my seldom worn hand & body lotion and perfume spray. I thought of flipping this favourites books of mine when I am not so busy during the day. It would help to realign my thoughts every time I stray away from my main focus in life because these books contain some of the ideas I personally believed and try to put into practice in my life.

I believe words can change people perspective and whatever you believe in will define you as a person. I believe that reading and reaffirming that belief again and again is the best way to cultivate the right attitudes. Right?

Thanks to 5S I am now doing something I should have done years ago..

Don't you thing quality program is a real help when you really put your heart into it?

I am blessed indeed.

XOXO

I am Not A Victim

Posted by Nikita at 3:37 AM 0 comments
I am not a victim. A victim is someone who is unable to do anything for herself or someone who is trapped in a prison of "self" or others.

I was thinking about this word "victim" while I was having a heart to heart conversation with a friend of mine. We were sharing about all the difficulties we were facing in our jobs. As I was listening to her words, I understood that she was as jaded as I was and like me had found difficulty in trusting others. I saw a glimpse of myself in her. She made me realize that I really do not want to be that "jaded" any longer and I wanted her to feel that way too. I want her to believe that life is not that cruel.

However,  in order for me to make her feel that way I have to examine my own heart and look for the right answer to fill her up. So I have to go back to all the events in my life and asked her the same things about her life. There must be a missing point in there. I asked " Do you have any regret in your life?" "Are you going to do the same thing if you are given a second chance?"The answer is. "There is no regret". "My surrounding have influenced me to make this type of decision and I never see any other way to look at things differently". So those were the limitations. You can also call that "FATE".

The thing is no matter what other way you want to understand your life from then till now, the point of it is just one, it is to fulfill your calling in this world. No?? So then why at one point in your life you feel you are nothing or feel victimized. This word "victim" really can break you as a person.

Feeling victimized is a feeling that really breaks you if you really put it that way. It can really make you feel so unimportant and useless that you would lose your sense of pride. Once you lose your pride, you will lose your self-esteem and when you lose your self-esteem you will not be able to live true to your potential.

I think about all those things. I think about how demeaning feeling victimized can be to a person. So I make a decision to not feel that way. It's a choice.

I admit that somehow living in this world means you are bound to rub off with a certain kind of people who always want you to bow down to them. It's okay. I can play as a servant, wholeheartedly. really. seriously. But it doesn't mean that I will forget my own dreams. While bowing to others, I will still reach for my ultimate dreams. Those dreams are what planted in my heart. It's a choice. I can complain and disobey or I can obey and still look for something to be victorious on my own pursuit.

I admit that once in a while I go "crazy" but I don't just file it that way. I find ways to cope with it although somehow it might come across as a little "nuts" like..taking a deep breath, checking my reflection in front of the mirror, quietly smiling and put on a nice red lipstick to feel wonderful and gorgeous before stepping in inside "the" room to wait for the "order".

You see I am not that strong of a person that I can be prideful to say that I am strong. I am weak. However, because I am weak I understand my need to have God in my life and the wisdom to understand that "I can do all things through Him who strengthens Me."

I can overcome difficult situations now, because I have fully understood the meaning of relying on God. It is in EVERYTHING. Every little steps of the way.

Thank You Lord.

I am blessed indeed.

If This World turns you into a Jaded Person..

Posted by Nikita at 3:59 AM 0 comments
I was so *jaded* but now I am no longer bitter. I could not find the right words to express how I feel about *the reality in life* but..maybe it is enough to say that although I was so *jaded*...now I am sincerely a happy *jaded* woman. :) ( if that make sense to you) hehe.

I have fully accepted who I am to the world. I accept that I am just one person that can only do little things. I have accepted that although this world is not a perfect world, the aim of living is not to live in a perfect world but to live in an imperfect world with imperfect people and still not be ruined by it.

It felt so strangely wonderful that these days, I have been so calmly smiling about everything. Not that things has changed. It just that I have changed. The railing inside my head has slowly dissipated into thin air. :)

Well...I guess if you have been pushed too much in life you will soon arrive to a junction or a crossroad. You can choose the one that says "stay the way you are and just get angry with the whole world. Hide yourself, be selfish, get revenge and be totally dark" or you can choose the one that says " Be calm. The burden of the whole world is not on your shoulder. Just enjoy this life and smiles. It doesn't mean that you are weak or that you have surrendered. It simply means you have gained the strength to get away with a smile, feeling peaceful and everything despite all the harsh circumstances in life".

I guess i have found the new meaning of "strength". It is in being happy despite how difficult your circumstances are. It is in maintaining your calm disposition no matter how frustrated and angry you are with the world. It is in remaining true to your value despite being surrounded by those who loves to influence you otherwise.

It doesn't mean that you have not changed at all, it simply means you still believe in your ability to be kind, considerate, happy and thoughtful even when people are being unkind, inconsiderate and bad to you. It means you have become wiser to know when to listen, when to talk, when to forgive, when to be firm and when to be open.

I learned much that the success in this life is not about how good you are at things, but at how good you are at controlling the inner turmoils that haunts you night and day. It is about arriving to a point of view that don't spell "ruined" or "broken". It is also about being able to be the catalyst of happiness.

Yes. I love life and I want to live this life joyfully for the rest of my life while accepting the bad and the good one.

I want to live being perfectly happy and grateful for the opportunity that has been given to me to live this life to the fullest.

Amen to that.

I hope you are thinking the same way to.

Love.

XOXO

I Can Do This Well to I Am The Only One Who Can Do This Well

Posted by Nikita at 6:00 AM 0 comments
The Lovely Cha Seung Jo and Han Se Kyung in Cheongdamdong Alice in episode 12. They played the OTP part so convincingly I just want them to get married in real life. kekekeke..* Just an ad  to fill in my total addiction for CDDA

Some days words just simply shape up in my head and start flooding in uncontrollably that I have no choice but to write it up like this. Some days I have to rack my brain to find out one single thing to talk about.

Today is one of those days that I couldn't stop writing at one article. There are things I wanted to share and to share it now albeit being scheduled.

I am still learning to express my thoughts and so of course I read a lot and write a lot. Like any other skills in life that will improve with practice, I write as much as I can with the hope that one day writing will be my second nature and something that I can do without sweating and something that really conveys my inner thoughts without being misunderstood.

Now lets get on to my topic. One of the reason out of many reasons why I like Moon Geun Young is because of her outlook in life. Every time she opens her mouth ( at least what I know of), she utters word that inspired me. When she was first interviewed why she is taking the role of Han Se Kyung, the role now she is playing in Cheongdamdong Alice she said " It is because I think I am the only actress who can play this role". I am amazed of how confident she is with her ability. I really respect that quality in her.

I want to be like that. I want to master something and be able to confidently says to others of course without putting on airs, that "I am the only one who can do this". That is called self- confidence" not arrogance.

At least at one thing in life we should be so good at it, that people can only think of you when it comes to it. Will I be able to find such arena to shine? Or will you?

I'd like to believe that as long as I don't stop believing that I too deserve to become the best in something in life, then I won't be so far from reaching it. The only thing I need to look for is that "something". What is it? It can't be too far from where you are getting yourself into or what you are doing now, right? NO? Maybe?..

Let see..You still have a long way to go..

Aja aja fighting!! just roll up the sleeves now and continue working (less dreaming). Okay??

The Right Environment

Posted by Nikita at 6:00 AM 0 comments
When was the last time you talk openly to someone? I mean really speaking openly because you feel peaceful enough to pour out your inner thoughts? The conversation need not be with a person, it can be with yourself. The right environment must have something to do with that. No? ^__^

There was a man that I really wanted to know when I was in university. But every time I saw him or with him, I felt so nervous I never spoke or did  the right things. I was totally out of character that our meeting always ended quickly with bad feeling lingered on the air. It was an awkward meeting with a man I clearly liked.

I am not sure why it was like that. Maybe when you like someone so much, it is hard to be calm. You  just go "crazy". On second thought, maybe I never met him in the right kind of environment that made me comfortable to reveal my true self to him in a good way. Maybe the kind of environment that could create a peaceful mind would rid the nervousness that weigh me down and turned me into a less than lovable person.

However, that was just an aftermath analysis and it doesn't matter anymore now. Sometime there is a man out there that you fall in love at first sight and you can't even hold your breath when he is around but in truth when you really are together with him nothing happens. It is just an awkward situation that doesn't feel right and no matter how much you wanted to right yourself for him, you can never fit in well. You are simply "not right" and cannot be "right" for him.

Anyway, it doesn't hurt to start off with the right kind of impression by meeting in the right kind of environment. The right kind of environment will present you the opportunity and situation to be in your best element.

It goes the same way with with everything. You can only be  at your best when you are given the right kind of environment to work in. It doesn't mean there is no trouble, it simply means you are contented enough to show your true quality by being in that environment.

Enrique in Flower Boy Next Door talked to Dok Mi about how the sea opened up his heart.. :)

When I was writing this down, I recollected a memory of myself talking to  my friends at the beach with the scenic view before my eyes totally sinking in to give me that calm peaceful feeling. I remember how totally open and transparent I felt that time. It felt as if the whole universe wanted to hear me talk and it was all because this beautiful sea in front of me. It was just a magnificent sight to behold. So..you know..it is good to talk when you are at peace.

I also feel at best typing up letter by letter in this blog of mine when I just wake up in the morning and my mind is clear. The light FM channel that I turned on since the night before is really light, that it often creates a happy, cheery feeling upon waking up in the morning. I can always just grab a book, read 50 pages, take a shower, prepare a cup of hot chocolate with two slices of white bread and bring it on the table, sit down in front of my net book and ready to talk my heart out.

By the way, I did meet that "man" in the right kind of environment years after I graduated. In fact, it was the last meeting that really made me want to put up the sign "V", as victory because finally..finally I was talking like myself. Unfortunately, in the twisted turn of events, I no longer had that "butterfly feeling" towards him. I felt that he was still the same but I have changed. I no longer found him attractive. I only saw a boy that need some growing up.  Oppss..

Well..you just don't want to miss the opportunity. Right?

Right there and be COOL.

XOXO

If I Could Do It All Over Again

Posted by Nikita at 6:00 AM 0 comments
Every time a practical student came to my work place for industrial training or course attachment, If I liked them enough I would share with them my struggle as a student and I would not to say advise them, but let them know about my take on yesteryear of my life.

I am not sure if I had wrote about this before but if I did then let me just share it again today.

I found schooling years was indeed one of the most memorable times of my life but If I could go back in time there were a few things I would like to change or perhaps add.

I would add a hobby. Any hobby that would allow me to be creative such as "knitting" would help me a lot if I practiced or did such thing then. Why? Because a hobby is not only a stress reliever but it gives you something to do that you can totally enjoy. It allows you to use your imagination which is necessary to push your limits in other area of life.

I would also like to spend some time to read non-fiction and fiction books. To be honest, during those years there wasn't much time to read up non-academical books but then again, I also never turned to it during semester break. So I really think it was a loss. Why? By reading books like self-help book I will be able to view things from different angle. I confessed how much I felt lost during my university years simply because of emotional exhaustion and disillusionment with my goal of becoming what I thought I wanted to be. I think reading self-help books would help me to gather my thoughts more objectively then. Also books related to relationship would have help me to cope with the wild heart of mine back then. I could have gone through hundred of books and learn something from there. I could have been better at managing my heartache back then if only I tried to get a meaningful pointers and advise from books. Right? Who knows? You know people can teach you in so many ways, not just by interacting with you face to face but also through their experience which they had carefully pour out in the form of words in books. You only have to make time to search for it and TIME is something that never stops. It never wait for us.

"Playing" would also be something that I could use a little more during that time. I am not sure why but I didn't seem to be really able to "play" when I was a student nor am I really good at it right now. I thing playing doesn't necessarily mean laughing one whole day long, sweating and hanging out with a bunch of friends. Now that I am older, I think playing or having fun depends much on your personality. How can an introvert person have fun hanging out in a club knowing the fact that she is shy in a crowd of people and could not even entertain the mere thought of dancing on the floor. Right? It all depends on what makes you feel "happy" and calm. It can be as simple as going out to "fish" or a day at the swimming pool or a day of undisturbed reading time with a glass of hot tea and a doughnut. I think that would be more like "playing" for the kind of person that I am. I would be so happy to include just a friend or two to chat and gossip one whole day long. It would be nice. I think it is really nice that way. Right?

I would also allow myself to engage more on public speaking. I would use those years to take up courage and just stand on the stage and "speak". If I learned well back then, I wouldn't have so much of problem becoming a "leader" now. Would I? Public speaking is something I have to jump on every opportunity simply because it is VERY IMPORTANT. How can someone who actually have so much of things to tell people just clam up and not talk when really..she wants to talk and wants people to listen because she believes she has "knowledge" to share with them.

I love red and red means "fierce" and it also means "passion". Sometime I feel that I am not living up to my potential because I am scared. I am scared if my eagerness to success in something could be interpreted as "showing off" by others. Negative remarks bothers me. I also never place myself as equal to other people and always in my "mind" I place myself as the lowly person. Now that I think about it, I realized how bad that thinking was. I don't actually have to think that I am the best aka higly person, but I should have treated myself as equal to other people. I should have believe in my own ability and I should back then, gave all I had and "thought" highly of myself without needing to compare myself with others. I shouldn't back down "mentally" without withdrawing my sword which was my "eagle" spirit. If not, that's how you lose your identity and create a mediocre person when you were in fact created to be excellent. Right?

Right there. Its not late to "turn over a new leaf"

Remember that success doesn't necessarily makes you and failure doesn't and can never break you as long as you live. We must always move on from the point we realize our mistakes.

In Times Of Trouble Praise God..

Posted by Nikita at 6:00 AM 0 comments
I was feeling a little giddy this morning. I am not sure why. Maybe because I had a sweet dream last night or maybe because I am feeling very peaceful with nothing much to worry  about.

The last few weeks had been a roller coaster ride for me because I had to settle a few matters and what made it much more worrisome to me was because of the fact that I wasn't able to contribute my energy into making things happen in some matters. I think the real problem was I have not yet mastered the art of delegation or to simply put my trust in other people to do what need to be done. But of course maybe I should learn to just let go of things and just trust others more. Right?

Only because I am in such a peaceful state now that I am truly able to convey my feelings calmly to you. If not I would be either refrain myself from writing at all or write a whole lot of "craps" that you just want to hurl your computer or laptop because of "anger".. I mean how could an anonymous person like me dare to ruin your day by ranting those things that choked you. Right???...^_^

Well, I just want to say, now that I think through about those days I have been feeling like the whole wide world burden was upon me, I think I was being unreasonable. :) I mean I can't just sit down and not feeling a little turmoil once in a while, right? The world without turmoil is like a world without events and where there is no event, there will be no stories to tell, no lesson to be learned and no life experience to draw from when you in need of one. Life that has nothing happened is not a life at all.

With that being said, I am going to agree with what an unknown wise person who said  in time of trouble praise God. I see wisdom in that. Moreover how else are we  going to be tested for endurance and strength if not by placing us in a lot of trouble. Right?

I guess I really am special and blessed indeed to have the opportunity to feel burdened and at times feeling like I am at the edge of losing my sanity. At the end of the day experience does matter be it good be it bad. And then again, it can't be that bad. Most of the time, a man in shining armour or a Goddess like Galadriel will brings all those bad emotion down with just one word of encouragement and appraisal that said "You did great" and you will be back on your feet, just brighter and stronger than before. Right?

Right there.

You just really need to go down deep if you really want to know what is happiness.

Okay. I think I have write enough. Back to work ya!!

Hang in there

XOXO

The Goal is To Focus On The Job Not The Environment

Posted by Nikita at 6:00 AM 0 comments
To be honest with you, the biggest challenge I faced in 2012 was my job. It had became increasingly difficult for me to give my full attention to my duty. Needless to say, that is why this year, the hardest thing for me to do is to resume working.

However, lately my mantra is "To focus on the job and not on the environment". It is because I really can't do much to those I have no control over. Right? So, I might as well just focus on thing that I can control which is my energy and my focus.

I am grateful to buy the book entitled Reinventing Yourself written by Mario Alonso Puig because it certainly has lead me into thinking about reinventing myself to become a better person. In relation to my job that particular story about Serenity which I have posted before really clicked with me. It gives me the inspiration to focus on doing my job and be a little oblivious about my environment.

Actually that is not something very difficult to do since I basically have practiced detaching from annoying situation aka environment. It only becomes a problem when I cannot focus on doing my job well because the kind of instruction that I got is always inadequate or misleading. I guess that is a price of working with someone who might be best described as "scatter-brain". But..fuh!!..** I am sorry. I don't mean to insult anybody. Its not like I love to label anybody whom I can't successfully deal with. It just that you know being a former perfectionist it is really pushing my limit buttons.

I don't want to hate my job. I become what I am now because it is my dream to be here. Its not like anybody forced me to be what I am. I chose it because it was and it is my passion and by now I should understand that having a job doesn't mean sunbathing on a beach with calm seas and blue skies. It has to be challenging and tough. It has to be something that pumped my blood and make me sweats because if its not like that then I don't think I am doing anything.

This way I can live my life better which is by appreciating every single day that I come to work and having to deal again and again with a complicated person.Well who knows what I might learn from here. Maybe God is preparing me for something bigger than just a complicated person to deal with. Right.

So, here we go again believing in "sincerity" and "honesty" to help me pressing forward in life.
Shall we DANCE to WORK now???

XOXO

Only The Best Count..

Posted by Nikita at 6:00 AM 0 comments
I have a brother who loves watching the same movies that he likes over and over again. I used to not understand it. I thought watching a movie once is enough and after that I or anyone should continue watching other movies because well there are so many movies out there to watch. Right?

However for the past two years  I have been totally invested in movies that I finally understood the pull of great actors, great scriptwriters and great directors that I too have developed the same habit. I keep watching the same movies or dramas that I really like. In fact I wanted so much so to watch only the best one to the point that if I disliked it after it runs for a few minutes without thinking twice I deleted it. You know that way I can save my rage and continue to look for the one that catch my interest.

Only the best one count. It goes for everything nowadays. Even for books, I can stroll along the shelves of books in the bookstore and I can quickly decide whether to buy or to read a book after reading a few pages of the book. I just do not want to "vomit blood"?,,kekekeke.. reading on something I could not comprehend. That sound so bad ya. Well..that is just an exaggeration. What I really am trying to tell is that there are in fact only a few "things" out there that can really mean something to you. Right?

I now realize that if we really dedicate ourselves into looking for the best things in everything we can actually acquire the taste to pick the best very quickly and soon enough we would feel empty again as in looking for the things that can satisfy us.

In order to fill in that empty heart, we would have no choice but to come back to the best thing that has happened or the best thing that we have read/watched in the past. It goes for everything. That is the reason why we could never get rid of the past because often it reminds us of what had been our best or what had been the best. We wish it will come back again and we will be able to experience the same thing all over again.

If it is related to books and movies of course its easy to just reread and re-watch it but if it is something to do with certain somebody then maybe you should just keep it as a memory. As you know, it might have been the best but people change and so are you.

Whatever it is, the journey has not end yet and this year will surely promise you a new found joy in every experience you may encounter and every little things in between including the book that you read and the movie that you watch.

May it become a memory to cherish for the rest of your life. I pray it will be the BEST MEMORY EVER.

Two Things

Posted by Nikita at 5:22 PM 0 comments
Two things;

1) If you are unable to make an immediate decision or confused, take your time. You don't need to rush into making a decision you might going to regret later.

2) If you have been in a confused state for a long while and the situation seems to depress you, make a decision right away. Maybe you have to pick between the bad and the worst, either-way try to concentrate only on living heart-fully and gratefully.

You see no matter what the circumstances are, the only person that can make things right for you is you. Channel your thoughts towards positive things.

Two things:

1) Don't play victim and make everyone around you feel uneasy and burdened. Stop crying and get busy. A hobby will do. A pet will comfort you.

2) Don't channel your frustration to innocence people. They are not your punching bag.

You see, other people don't share the same position or opinion with you. Even if they do, you don't have to flock together and start the hatred growing. You should never become a catalyst for bad things.

Two things;

1) If you feel unhappy, don't allow it to destroy other things in your life.

2) If you can't help but making the unhappiness obvious, spare sometime to reflect on your life on daily basis. Don't continue living each day in the same manner. It will soon become a habit.

You see, becoming happy can be acquired by looking for things that will make you happy. A door is opened only  if you open it and if you knock it.

What Am I Good At?

Posted by Nikita at 4:36 AM 0 comments
If people were  to ask me what am I good at, most probably I am going to tell them, "I am good at reading books"*giggling. I know it's not much of a specialty . Everybody can read books and I am sure there are millons out there who love books and read more than I can ever accomplish in my lifetime. But since there isn't much about myself to be considered special, I am simply going to say what I think about myself.

All of my brothers, five of them share almost the same hobby. They love cars and coincidentally are sort of good at it (psstt..I don't understand man obsession for cars).  The only exclusion is my fourth brother who loves IT whereas I on the other hand love reading book.

It is my first love if I have to put it that way. I know it that much because one of my earliest and vivid memories included a heartbreaking moment when my mother promised to take me to the library when I was around 5 or 6 year old. Sadly it didn't happen. I cried buckets of tears and vengefully determined to make up for the lost time by reading voraciously in my adulthood. *LOL. Well, I guess anyone who was starved of something will definitely develop an insatiable appetite for the things they have been deprived of. Right?

I think I have talked about books alot.  Twice? Thrice. . .? *wink. But hey, I can't stop confessing my love to you. It's hard to hide an obsession. I AM SORRY!

By the way,  thinking of what I have just mentioned. What good does it do to love reading books?

I had an experience when the knowledge from a book saved my day. I am not a born leader but there are times I have to step up the plate and be the problem solver of many conflicts between co-workers. It's a role I have to shoulder being the the Head Unit.  There was one time I had to settle a very heated argument between two ladies that forced me to think hard in order to save the day. Both were priced staff in their own respective fields. In that kind of situation I can be clueless if not for the availability of wisdom I had been able to recollect and withdraw from much reading.

Secondly my husband isn't much of a talker. In order to draw him out I have to continuously search for an interesting topic that we can discuss about . If you have been married for sometime you will understand what I mean by not having anything to talk about.

Thirdly, if you work long enough at the same place with the same people, sooner or later you will run out of topic to talk about and you are going to start gossiping like bored people always do. So I find it helpful to have some readings from books to share with people as a way to distract myself from gossiping.

Fourthly, it keeps me occupied in a good way. If you spend much of your time on your own, reading book is probably one of the best ways to know that the world is revolving round and round and however much you know now, there are still more that you don't know about.

In short, books Keep me SANE. It helps me to deal with people  wisely and it keeps my marriage WORKING. If not for books I wonder what would be the world I live in inside this head of mine?

As a conclusion I think being good at reading is a great blessing despite it being  very common. So common indeed that I can always relate to you and vice versa. Right?

Saving the Planet Earth.

Posted by Nikita at 8:54 PM 0 comments
This is not earth hour in case you think I am promoting it. But of course it has something to do with it. I just wanted to share a few tricks to save energy. These are the few little things I practiced at home to conserve energy. I am sure we hear it often on the radio how the DJ rant about lack of water and energy resources globally so we must strictly try to conserve whatever resources we still have or else we gonna end up trying to build "dam" that forced natives to relocate to some areas leaving their much loved lands that bear so much of memories.

Now lets get down to business.

2. To never confront people upfront in public no matter how right you think you are.

The Ten Concepts:

1. We are here to learn a lesson, and the world is our teacher.
2. The universe has no favourites
3. Your life is a perfect reflection of your beliefs.
4. The moment you get too attached to things, people, money..you screw it up.
