To Expand Your World,,,

Posted by Nikita at 6:00 AM 0 comments
I was visiting my hubby hometown with my parents when I took notice of a new side of my parents individually. In a very short time I got to see a very different father and a mother whom I got to see usually in our small world aka home.

I was thinking it was probably because of the new environment I was taking them to that they suddenly became different. New environment must have done some amazing change of persona to the parents i thought I knew.

In those short time of knowing more of my parents it dawned on me that if it was because of a new environment that I got to see a new person in each of them, than expanding your view by being in a different environment or world must be important to bring out the unknown side of you. Perhaps by expanding your world you will get to be a better person with so much more to offer this world.  With that observation, I am inclined to say, we have to see the world..more..We must not holed up in our tiny cubicle. Our world expand according to the vastness of the universe we set our eyes upon.

You see, the experience in the world that you have explored will help to teach you about a lot of things that you have never thought of. Things like how to be a useful person in a community. Things like how to function well as a member of a family and a society. This is "copying" skills which could never happen if you don't mix with people from various walks of life. You need to learn about yourself through them.

A wise man said to get rid of a bad habit, you need to cultivate a new habit. By the same token, to get rid of a bad feelings towards a community and society, you just need to be with a community that truly treat each other well. Right?

Right there.

As this year is finally closing in, my final remark is that;

It's not important how you start your year but it's important how you end it.  Let us celebrate a year of good fortune and blessings that never ceased to come our way even when we have been bad all year long.

Merry Christmas (Belated)
&
Happy New Year 2013!!!

God Bless!! :)

Serenity by Mario Alonso Puig

Posted by Nikita at 5:55 PM 0 comments
The ruler of a great kingdom, who was very old, wanted to make sure that, before abandoning this world, he imparted an important lesson to his son. During the kingdom's most difficult times, it was important to be firm and ensure that peace and harmony would ultimately reign in the country. But for some reason, the young Prince couldn't quite understand what his father was saying.
" Yes, Father, I understand that for you serenity is very important but I believe that cunning and power are more important."

One day, when the King was riding his steed he had a great idea.
"Perhaps what my son needs is not for me to repeat the same thing over and over again but to demonstrate it to him in some way" Carried away by this idea he ordered a meeting of the most important members of his court to the main hall of the palace.

"I want to organize a painting competition. The biggest and most important one ever to be held. The town criers must make it known throughout the world that there will be an extraordinary prize for the winner of the exhibition.

"Your majesty," asked one of the nobles, "What is the theme of the exhibition?"
"The theme is serenity, balance. I will only give you one order," said the King. "Under no circumstances should you reject any work of art, however strange it appears or horror should cause."

The nobles left without fully understanding the surprising order that the King had given them.

From all the corners of the known world came marvellous paintings. Some of them showed calm seas, others clear skies in which a flock of birds glided across creating a sensation of calm, peace and serenity.

The nobles were enthused by such beautiful paintings.
"Without a doubt, his Majesty is going to find it very difficult to choose the winning painting among such magnificent works of art."

Suddenly, before the shocked public appeared a truly bizarre painting. Painted in dark tones and with little light, it reflected a rough sea in the middle of a storm in which huge waves were crashing violently against the dark cliff rocks. The sky was covered with enormous dark clouds.

The nobles looked at each other in disbelief and soon broke out in laughter and mockery. "Only an idiot would have entered a competition about serenity with a painting like this."

They were on the point of tossing it out of the room when one of the nobles interrupted them saying,
"We have an order from the King which we cannot disobey. He told us that we couldn't reject any painting, however strange it might be. Although we haven't understood the point of this order, it was given by our King and we can't ignore it."

"All right," said another of the nobles, "but put this painting over there in that corner, where it can hardly be seen."

The day came for his Majesty the King to decide on the winning entry. On arriving at the exhibition hall, his face lit up. But as he made his way through the exhibition his face became more and more morose.

"Your Majesty, do none of these paintings satisfy you?" asked one of the nobles.
"Yes, yes they are very beautiful, there's no doubt about that, but there's something lacking in all of them."
The King had got to the end of the exhibition without finding what he so wished to find when, suddenly he noticed a painting sticking out in a corner.

" What is that there which is hardly visible?"
"It's another painting, your Majesty."
"And why have you placed is so far apart from the others?"
"Your Majesty, it's a painting painted by a lunatic. We would have rejected it but following your orders about accepting all paintings that were sent to us, we decided to place it in a corner so as not to affect the beauty of the rest."

The King , who had a natural curiosity, went up to the strange painting which seemed so difficult to appreciate. Then he did something which none of the members of the court had done. He went nearer to it and looked at it in more detail. It was then that, all of a sudden, his face lit up and raising  his voice, declared, "This is , without a doubt, the winning entry!"

The nobles glanced at each other, perplexed, thinking that the King had gone mad. One of them, shyly, asked him, "Your Majesty, we've never disputed your commands but, what do you see in that painting to make it the winner?"

"You hadn't looked properly, come closer."
When the nobles got up close, the King showed them something among the rocks. It was a small nest where there was a newly- born bird. The mother was feeding it, totally detached from the storm taking place around her.

The King explained to them that this was just what he wished to show his son, the Prince.

"Serenity does not come from living in an ideal world as is reflected in the other paintings with their calm seas and clear skies. Serenity is the capacity to keep your attention on what is a priority for you, despite the difficult circumstances."

The Lessons I Learned..Some Of It...

Posted by Nikita at 12:00 PM 0 comments
I was about to write down on my diary aka Journal when I noticed that my husband had jotted down something on my diary. He read my diary and was sorry to do so but he said he hoped to learn something from my hidden thoughts. Ouchh..

Anyway..that made me scroll through every single details of my entry just to know what I have penned down in there. Hmm..I realized I did have a lot of mixed thoughts in there and some of it came as a surprise to myself because I really had totally forgotten thinking or writing about it.

It happened that on the 22nd May 2012 I wrote down something which to me..resonated then and resonates again now. Would you like to take a peek on my diary entry?? * wink.

Okay. I wrote something like this:

So..The lessons I have grown to like and practiced lately are these;
  1. To be sincere (always) because it always get the message across. Don't be pretentious. Lesson from Moon Geun Young.
  2. Be yourself. Stay in character because the character you have now is what bring you where you are. You really don't need to act out of character (trying to be someone you are not). Lesson from T.D Jakes.
  3. To have the right aura. People can sense your aura be it good or bad. Everything Has vibration and if you gives off the right or good vibration the universe and the person right next to you will sense it and respond to it accordingly.Lesson from Masato Emoto.
  4. What you are is what the people will be around you. You echoes your own self-image/perception. Lesson from The Dog and The Mirror.
  5. To be true to your heart. Search and do what excites you. God made people to live fully and lively. Not just to become complacent like a dead stagnant river which without flowing will never have enough life to sustain it. Lesson from John Eldredge in his book Wild At Heart.
  6. Character is fate. You can't hardly turned out to be different or expect people to change because character is what you are, a destiny. Lesson from Ethan Canin, as quoted from Heraclitus and written in The Palace Thief and Other Stories.
  7. If you are stuck somewhere you won't be able to move on so learn to mend each step that has broken before moving any further up because if you don't do that it will be coming back to you again and again until you have learned the lesson. Lesson from Katherine Brazeltone in Pathway to Purpose For Women and Andrew Matthew from Follow Your Heart.
  8. To release yourself from the "pact" you made a long time ago. Say if you have promised to God not to sin anymore and if you did to let God punish you severely. But then you realized you are just that weak human being who are hardly able to be perfect. Release yourself from the pact and start again as a child of God. You can't never runaway from sinning as long as you live. Lesson from Paulo Coelho in his book The Valkyries.
  9. Take up faith when you are fearful. These two (faith & fear)  always run together side by side. Lesson from Samuel Rodriguz in Seven Pathway to Miracles.
  10. Destiny is determined by choices we made. Like Peter and Judas both at some point betrayed Jesus. However Judas chose to hang himself whereas Peter chose to redeem himself by becoming the "rock" and taking care of the people Jesus left for him to love. Lesson from Max Lucado in Cast of Characters.
  11. Your purpose in life is all in the roles you are playing now as an employee, a wife, a daughter, a friend and etc. It is the small things in each of these roles that make up for the big purpose you have in this life. So before you ask God to give you that one big purpose, play the one you already have because perhaps those are the place your lesson lies before the next big thing/role you need to carry in the future. Lesson from Katherine Brazeltone.
  12. You are not able to understand or to see the whole picture so before you conclude whether things are bad or good, bear in mind that you don't know or have the idea what will be coming or happening next. Lesson from Andrew Matthew in his book Follow Your Heart.
And those are only some of the things I remembered to put in one sitting on that particular day which I think is very insightful and wonderful and of course made it clear to me that going to the library and just grab and read some random books are not pointless at all.

I need to go back and say hi to the library.  Yess??

I hope it means something to you too.

Happy Holiday!!

To Not Waste Time

Posted by Nikita at 10:30 AM 0 comments
The biggest spoiler of your holiday is none other than wasting time doing things that takes time but not necessarily satisfying. Surfing on the net to check on social site is probable an example of the biggest time waster of all time. Agree? huhu. Please don't get annoyed with that. It is just a matter of personal opinion because that is what I feel every time I spend my time surfing the net and linger a tad longer than necessary to check on my favourite site.

However I only say so because I do have things that I really wanted to do today and I really don't have a long holiday. Some people commented that I am taking too long of a holiday but I really hope they keep it in my mind that although I take only 7 days holiday but I too make time to drop by the office in the afternoon (for the time being) to settle whatever I need to do. I know its not much and I really can't do better than that for now because letting me stay in the office by chaining me on the chair or something won't do me any good since what I really need now is a fresh new air from somewhere else minus the office thingy.

Excuse me. I don't hate my job. I probably dislike the unfair environment and the fact that it always left me feeling rather powerless, useless and brain-dead with nothing much going on but I am so very much sure that in spite all that I am rational and I don't like leaving a job undone.  I am not done talking about job just yet but today that's not really what I wanted to talk about.

I just wanted to share about my opinion on wasting time. Yes..wasting time is very subjective. If you have always been busy and always on time on everything probably wasting time and taking time much longer than usual or not caring about being on time isn't much of a waste. Right?

For example who cares if you wake up at 8.30am in the morning as long as you wake up feeling totally refreshed and ready to "slay the dragons" the moment you wake up or who cares if you take your shower at 10.00 am in the morning or still wearing your pajamas and off you do what you think is right for you at the moment aka writing up an article in your blog. Well that's what I did. And I see no reason to be sad about that.

I am just a happy woman trying to ease her mind by doing what she does best which is ..(Writing)

Writing is Sharing and Sharing is Caring.

I am blessed Indeed. (Can't wait to enjoy the day)!!!

Take Time To Enjoy The Moments..

Posted by Nikita at 3:16 AM 0 comments
Because today I was on holiday, I took time to do almost everything. I enjoyed driving my car amidst the long queue of cars in a congested road. I took time window shopping. I took time to relax and to decide where is  the place that I really wanted to go the most. I took time to really do what matter most to me today.

I thought about it over and over again in my head about the place that I really wanted to go today and the funny thing was it really wasn't a big thing at all. All I really wanted was a cozy place to have a lunch where I could comfortably ordered my favourite food and ate it delightfully.

I wasn't thinking about doing my hair, pedicure or manicure. I wasn't thinking about adding more clothes to my nearly full drawer. I wasn't thinking about buying another book to add to my collection of books. I wasn't thinking about doing facial treatment, perming my eyelashes or massaging my leg. All I wanted was to eat. :) .Even if I have millions to spend on whatever, I really was not in the mood to splurge on those said things.

I think I know now what I wanted to do if today was my last day. All I wanted to do would be exactly what I did today. I will just go to a nice comfortable place to eat my last meal and I will be ready to die..anytime..

But..oh..no..I am not here to talk about dying. Of course not. I am too young to think about those kind of things. I know I am tired and probably a little sick but I really am not thinking about dying. I just wanted to share about my whereabouts today because to me it is something that I rarely experience nowadays. You know the feeling of total "freedom". The freedom to choose what to do simply because I don't have to get up and think about "work".

It's good by the way to get away from your routine once in a while and be completely occupied by your own thoughts because only in silence will you see what you really want. Right?

Right There.

I am blessed Indeed.

Open up Your Heart and Let It Show You The Way

Posted by Nikita at 6:16 PM 0 comments
Today is my first day of year end holiday. I always need a year end holiday to gather my thoughts. It is the time for me to see clearly the path that I have taken this year, the goal that I have set and the new realization that will be the mark of a new beginning next year ahead.

This is also the time of the year where I would keep my thoughts to myself and let it overwhelm me for a little while until I come up with a resolution. It has been two years of a "hard thinking" from my part. Each time I decided to either press ahead forgetting and forgiving or make a short term plan to leave when time and opportunity come. However, this year things get a little harder than usual.

I realize that just pressing ahead with unresolved things impending your way is not the best way at all. If I stay true to myself, no matter how I think about it, I can't just move on like I used to. Something really need to change.

I really think that I have to open up my heart a little more and let it show me the right way to go from here onwards. For the sake of sanity, I really can't just go on optimistically believing that things will be fine if I stay "sincere" and "honest" with my way.

The thing is I am one step away from the edge of a cliff. It's really really hard.

I am really looking forward to get some beautiful thoughts at the end of this year. I need some fuel to replenish my energy and I desperately need to get back on the right track.

This is the time to be Happy..to feel blessed..and to run away from evil thoughts.

The Best Time To Count Your Blessing is..

Posted by Nikita at 6:28 PM 0 comments
The best time to count your blessing is when you are laden with sorrow and when you are so burdened with many matters that you just wanted to quit life.

Sorrow blocks happiness from surfacing in your mind simply because it doesn't exist together. One is the opposite of the other.

But...

How can you be so sorry with your life that you fail to see the silver lining on the cloud.

You see even if you can't do anything right now and that the world doesn't change to suit you,
you have to live.

One more step. Just go on.

To Not Falter (15/98)

Posted by Nikita at 7:00 PM 0 comments
Sometime the easiest thing you can do to make sure a certain task is being carried out is to simply do it without over analyzing. I feel happy today because I was able to look at the big picture and not simply made a self-serving conclusion like "this is not my job" and "I don't have to do this".

Its not easy by the way to accede to people request. Especially so if people used your name to get a better stand . I really don't like people using name and power to make other people do what need to be done out of fear or favour. Furthermore if you know how simple things are and yet you being strung along to make it happen.

But..I stick to a very simple reasoning which is..to not make a big deal out of it..and just do what needs to be done.

I am simply happy that ...I did not falter..:)

I am blessed indeed to have self-control..:)

The Innocent Man Ep-5, 6 & 7

Posted by Nikita at 10:30 PM 0 comments
It was a long story that I need to cut short because it involved 3 episodes. I think I will concentrate on the heart of the story although I think everything was important in these 3 episodes except Jae Gil and Kang Choco. The writer can securely write off their characters. :)

The last episode showed how Kang Maru threw Eun gi to the shallow pond but it didn't show how and when Kang Maru came. This episode answered that question. Kang Maru actually arrived very much early but he didn't disturb Eun gi who had carefully put a signage on the chalet's door to not disturb or even knock on her door. Kang Maru waited for her for a long time until she came out of the room and lied down on the ground. However when Kang Maru tried to talk to her, Eun gi was fast asleep and only muttered words about how the calculation was wrong. Kang Maru entered Eun gi room and found the scattered paper every where in her room along with all the calculation she had made. Kang Maru tried to help Eun gi solving her problem. He called up Jae gil who had learned financial in the university. He recalled an information regarding a company relayed by his former girlfriend. It was a company Tae San's group had invested in but overlooked because it happened to be doing badly in the past. However, the info he had gotten from his ex girlfriend proved otherwise. The company was slowly picking up by it's current venture in mining industry. Taking this and that into calculation, Kang Maru came up with about the right amount to solve Tae San group needs of fund. Kang Maru let Eun gi knew about this news. Eun gi was exhilarated to hear the news and proceeded to call Lawyer Ahn to convey the news to Jae Hee to stop the selling of The Aomori Resort. However the news fell on Jae Hee deaf ear. She even rescheduled the contract signing to an earlier hour to make sure Eun gi didn't come in time to stop the process. Eun gi did come late and had failed to stop the contract agreement. But, Kang Maru found out the ugly truth about the company who had just sign the contract agreement with Tae San's group. It seemed, the company was a fake who only wanted to buy the Resort for some unethical used. Kang Maru called Eun gi and asked her to put on the speaker mode while he spoke to the company's owner. Richard the owner of the company felt so humiliated walked away leaving the place.

Kang Maru and Eun gi then promised to see each other again after Kang Maru took his three hours sleep. In the mean time Eun gi tried to prepare herself for the date. She even tried to put on make up for the first time and donned a nice dress with a pair of high heels.

Kang Maru was disturbed from his sleep by Jae Hee's call who summoned him to see her. Kang Maru just stood there listening to her every whim. He gave her 10 minutes to talk. Unmoved by every words that came out from Jae Hee's mouth Kang Maru walked away after the time he gave was over.  Jae Hee surprised Maru by jumping into the sea to kill herself. Maru saved her and when she woke up he left her.

Kang Maru had just remembered his date with Eun gi and tried to locate her only to find her sleeping on the bridge where the two of them supposed to meet up. He noticed her made up complexion. They went for their date at last.

When Eun gi came home, her belongings had been packed up. Her father was angry with her that he chased her out with nothing at all. Eun gi called Kang Maru and told him about her situation. At the same time, Kang Maru was talking to Jae Hee who was clearly trying to make Maru believed that she would come back to him in time. Kang Maru spoke to Eun gi over the phone and let Jae Hee listened to everything. Kang Maru told Eun gi, he knew about her predicament and that he already cleared up a room for Eun gi. He invited Eun gi to come and live with him.

Lawyer Ahn was investigating about Kang Maru relationship with Jae Hee. He was viewing the  CCTV footage to look for his appearance on the day he came in front of the gate. However, he accidentally viewed the footage of Jae Hee kissing Lawyer Ahn. He sent the captured footage to Eun gi who was on the car going to Maru working place.

Eun gi turned back and met up with Lawyer Park about the matter. They agreed not to let The Chairman Seo knew about it.At the same time The Chairman had set a condition for Eun gi to reinstate her position as the director. She needed to settle the matters with the Labour Union. Eun gi took up the challenge and met up with the head of the labour Union. She proposed a drinking battle to come to an agreement. If she won, the Labour Union had to concede to all her request and vice versa. She knew she would certainly lost but she just wanted to end the labour strike. She conceded with all the Labour Union request by putting all her assets into it. This enraged The chairman but Lawyer Park insisted The Chairman to reinstate Eun gi because Eun gi seemed to not care anymore since she had meet someone she cared about.

Eun gi, in her drunken state walked up to Maru housing area. She called him up and confessed about how madly in love she was now with him. Maru brought Eun gi home and let her sleep. Lawyer Park tried to call Eun gi on the phone but Kang Maru picked the phone and told him he was Eun gi's boyfriend and his name was Kang Maru. When she woke up Eun gi asked what had she confessed to him and what did he said to her. Maru told her that he had asked her to run away from him with her last ounce of strength. She answered him by kissing him.

On further investigation of the CCTV footage, Lawyer Park caught the sight of Kang Maru and Eun gi. That was when he made the connection that Kang Maru was the same person as the one that had a relationship with Jae Hee. After the signing of the agreement with the Labour Union group, Lawyer Park gave an envelope with a document to Eun gi to look at.

Eun gi was on the way back to see Maru when she was stopped by a lady. The lady asked her a favour to give an old framed photo to Kang Maru. Eun gi was shocked to see that it was a picture of Kang Maru and Jae Hee. Just then, Maru turned up and saw her shocked pale face. He put his hand on her forehead to check her temperature and noted that she was having a fever. He promised to get a medicine for her when he got back. Eun gi, stood still tried to hide the framed photo from his sight. When he was out of sight she scrambled through the document lawyer Park had given her and noticed a document about something?

She then met Lawyer Park once again where she was told about Maru as the one who saved her on the aeroplane and about Maru having a relationship with Jae Hee and knowing her for over 19 years. Eun gi just listened to him and after that she went home to find Maru. Maru was just back from meeting Jae Shik who was looking for Jae Hee and managed to get her number after ransacking Maru's room and stealing his hand phone. Maru threatened to kill him if he ever tried to come close to Jae Hee ever again. However Jae Hee didn't know the real fact and thought Maru strung him along to bring her down.

When Eun gi Met Maru, she was obviously upset. Maru understood her intention and knew she wanted to break up their relationship. He let her go but not without giving her her medicine first.

At home, The Chairman was upset about the news that Eun gi was still meeting up with Kang Maru and asked Jae Hee to get Eun gi back. Although he didn't give her consent to use violence on Maru, Jae Hee did it anyway.

Eun gi collapsed on the road on her way walking down from Maru's home when Jae Hee saw her. She noted that Eun gi was half- asleep in the car when she called up Maru and threatened him and his family if he ever tried to disturb her children's again.

The Chaiman Seo got his hand on the CCTV footage and asked Lawyer Park to do anything to both Jae Hee and Lawyer Ahn so they would end up in jail for at least 30 years. He was completely enraged by them and didn't mind a fabrication to damage them both.

In her isolated chamber, Eun gi remembered everything of how Maru had saved her, helped her and how he had warned her to run away from him. She was still sick at home and had been locked up inside her bedroom under her father's command. She escaped through her window and drove up to Maru's home. Maru had been staying home and was in bad shape. To hide his bad state, Jae Gil had brought Choco with him to a secluded place.

Jae Hee got a call from her brother and was told about how Maru tried to protect her. Jae Hee was regretful and decided to come and see Maru again. Eun gi came first. While the rain was still pouring down, she knocked on Maru's door and waited for him to come. She was just about to move away when Maru opened the door. Weakly she cried her out out and confessed to Maru of how much she loved him and her dreams for them to be together until old age. Maru hugged her tightly. Jae Hee came and she just stood watching them. She looked completely...lost and Maru just stared at her devoid of emotion..*cliffhanger.

Moon Chae Won was doing very well the last two episodes. I only wish things will get even better with each new episode to come. I couldn't hate Joong Ki in spite his passable acting, and Jae Hee was really annoying now.

Well Done (14/98)

Posted by Nikita at 7:30 PM 0 comments
Yeahh..I am going to talk about my work again. Finally..finally..one is done...and I am so proud of myself because..although I took a long time to finish it but I was really putting a lot of effort into it. I had been criticized by many last time I did a task and I was completely down. But now, even if they try to put me down again, I know with all of my heart that I have done my best (Not that I didn't do my best the other time).

The music to the soul when you are working is being able to do a task excellently regardless of how you feel about the task. I know sometime I am a bit picky about task and when I am asked to do things I have no heart to do, I tend to do it it very slowly...because that's what going to happen if you are doing what you don't enjoy doing. Right?

Lately, these few days..because there are so many things to do, and I know if I screw up nobody is going to help me up..I put an extra effort in making sure everything is being done well. I make no room for mistakes. Hopefully.

Work can be stressful you know but if I can remember well, I think there wasn't much different when I was in school. I did feel stressed by exam, and also the mere thought of growing up and having to shoulder a responsibility was stressful enough. Now, if only I enjoyed every moment of it...

I guess feeling stressful is also part of a blessing because..you can only feel so if you are serious about it..No stress means..not caring THAT much..right??

I am blessed indeed to have..something I can worry about..and still somehow able to overcome it or pull through it..:)

Watching TV (13/98)

Posted by Nikita at 6:00 PM 0 comments
What did I do at kampung? "WATCHING ASTRO"..huhu. Let me tell you something..."I don't have a tv or watch tv at my place". So..whenever I balik kampung..mostly I enjoyed watching TV just because it was something I don't do on regular basis.

What did I watch? emm..I watched PERFECT MATCH.., CLEAN HOUSE, THE VOICE (S3) and something about death row??..

I think watching tv is not necessarily bad. There are a lot of things you can learn from there. But also, it is not something you must do a lot, because it can kill time that you are not able to do a lot of other creative, much more productive stuff. Right?

But I am not going to nag about the pros and cons of watching tv. I just wanted to tell you "I have fun watching tv today..this week end", because it's not something that I always do. It is something I rarely do that when I did do it, I don't feel guilty about the time I spent sitting in front of the tv screen one whole night..this time..I even slept in front of the tv..just wrapping up myself..like that..and the next thing I knew its morning time..huhu..

I had a blessed tv day..how about you??

I am blessed indeed!!!

I am Home (12/98)

Posted by Nikita at 7:30 PM 0 comments
Kyaaa! It's week end and what did I do? I went back kampung. Yesterday evening I had already shopped for groceries and loaded it in my car. All I needed to do today was to fill up the fuel tank and off I went to drive up to my little hometown. What's good about today again?

Well, this might sounds a little common but sometimes it can be so meaningful beyond words when you come HOME and somebody noticed you . . You see, I was amazingly happy just because upon entering the living room, my nephew who was bathing in the shower room, ducked his neck out and with his still wet shampooed hair loudly called me up .."Hi auntie. . ." ;) and the SIGHT of my parents cozily resting on the sofa really comforted me. ;)

And then guess what? I brought along a box of chocolate with me and shared it with my FAMILY. Father quipped my invitation by correcting me to say "Let's share this food instead of do you eat this type of food?". Me had a lesson today. Nice one ya! ;)
It's good. Really good.

I am so blessed to still have parents I can come home to any time. ;)

Praise the Lord for He is so good. His loves endures forever.

I am blessed indeed.

Arang And The Magistrate Ep-16

Posted by Nikita at 12:00 PM 0 comments
This episode was rather straightforward. There were a little bit here and there but the main point that had been revealed was..Arang had finally recalled how and why she was murdered.

She was following Joo Wal and Kim Eun Oh's mother walking towards a deserted house to meet a woman. The woman was the witch. The spirit of Mu Yeon left and went straight to invade the body of Kim Eun Oh's mother. However, her soul was not completely defeated by the spirit. She struggled to gain her body back and in the process tried to kill Joo Wal who was trying to calm the spirit down. Arang who was watching everything could not just stand and watch and tried to shield Joo Wal from being stabbed by Kim Eun Oh's mother. That was when Kim Eun Oh's mother accidentally thrust the knife on her side and she died on the spot. Joo Wal just stood watching her collapsed on the ground because he didn't know who she was or why she came there. The witch finally regained her composure in her current body, instructed him to get rid of her body.

Joo Wal seemed to remember bits of Lee Seo Rim but it had not been fully revealed whether he remembered her well or not. But he seemed to be able to make a connection between Lee Seo Rim and Arang when he stumbled upon Arang who was checking out the same area that he went to, the last day Lee Seo Rim died. Furthermore to complicate the situation, Mu Yeon lied to him saying that he was the one who killed Lee Seo Rim but she erased his murderous act to not make him suffer from it.

Everything has been revealed and now it's time to move on. It feels almost like the story has finished already. Mu Yeon only needs to die now and everything will be settled.

Arang And The Magistrate Ep-15

Posted by Nikita at 7:30 PM 0 comments
Kim Eun Oh..met her mother's shell. Well, he met his mother who was possessed by Mu Yeon spirit and now he was confused on how to go about it since The Shaman didn't know if there was a way to help her mother trapped spirit to come back again.

Arang was still curious about all the vengeful spirits. To find an answer she searched Kim Eun Oh room to look for the fan which had the same pattern of the "hades" she once saw. Instead, she found the hairpin. The hairpin caused her memory to come back in flashback..an evening when she accidently saw Joo Wal met Kim Eun Oh mother on the bridge moving towards the woods..She remembered grabbing the hairpin from her hair..and Joo Wal looking at her sideways..

Arang's Nanny who was murdered after she revealed about Lee Seo Rim identity to the Excellency Choi, came to meet her as a spirit and told Arang about her being killed by Excellency Choi's helper and about how Arang fell sick when Excellency Choi  called off her wedding to Joo Wal. She was glad Lee Seo Rim lost the sad memory of her unrequited love. She  gave the identity tag of the helper who killed her and then she vanished..

Arang met up with Joo Wal to tell her how she could not accept Joo Wal feelings for her. She also gave him Lee Seo Rim's diary. After Joo Wal read it he gave it back to Arang and asked her to put it back to where it belonged to because he didn't deserve Lee Seo Rim feelings.

Joo Wal found out about Mu Yeon real identity and the identity of the body she lived in.

Mu Yeon was getting weaker in her present body and needed to get Arang's body as soon as possible.

Excellency Choi planned to burn the house and the shrine on the basement because he was now completely healed from his sickness and had no longer needed Mu Yeon.

Bang Wool the shaman after being knocked out by a spirit, now was able to see a spirit but not able to hear them speaks..huhu

Shin Min Ah still didn't do much as a human now. I wonder when she will be in full speed to take things on her own hand to find out about herself and everything. Mu Yeon being suddenly weak is a little ...strange..how can a spirit who have lived for 400 years...can't even know how to handle things better in that kind of position..right?

Swiss inn (10/98)

The Toilet cum shower room

I was thinking about which part of today that I'd really love to share with you..all because..there were many so many blessings today..:)

emm..should I talk about the moment I woke up and proceeded to fetch my brother and then sent him all the way to Terminal 2 airport and then went all the way to Terminal 1 airport to (send) myself and then parked the car at the airport car park...I felt proud being able to send him instead of him sending me.

or..should I talk about how I managed to board the flight to Tawau and managed to reschedule everything for today and the next day because the flight itinerary just didn't allow everything that planned to be settled in time?

If not that also..should I then talk about how I had learned about sampling calculation indirectly while giving a talk about sampling?

There  were a lot of things happened today that I am unable to choose which to boast about..:)

Anyway..I settled with ...Swiss Inn hotel. It felt right to share about that hotel because..the choosing of a hotel to spend the night away was done deliberately. On one end I'd like to stay in a NO star hotel because it cost  less but on another end, I'd like to sleep in a nice, clean, cozy room with good ventilation and nicely furnished toilet and shower room. Fuh!! so..guess what?, my intuitive mind won over my cognitive mind. Your heart enlarged with good beautiful things to feed your eyes. Right?? hihihi

The picture above was the most interesting part of the room I stayed in. I have a thing for toilet and shower room...so that's how the picture was chosen to tease your eyes..:) te hee eheee..

By the way..the standard room rates (RM 130) + other charges (service and tax) amount to RM 150.80..fuhhh..!! SHOCKER..

Will I stay there again?? Of course... :) No-brainer..

Now come to think of it. It is a blessing indeed, because it's not everyday that you got to feel and stay in a nice cozy affordable room...right?? that's me..

A little bit on the workshop I attended the other day. The pictures tell all. I think I 'd really love to elaborate on everything above but it will going to be a very dry subject and me think you aren't going to enjoy it one bit. So I am going to stick with the pictures above just to remind me of the happy event. You know I love Microbiology and now me think Molecular Biology has stolen my heart for real..this time...I am gonna die of loving it and missing the details..etc etc... Luckily there is a nice hub I can play here...wuhuuu..I am gonna have a lovely time...yehaaaa!!!

The Innocent Man Ep-4

Posted by Nikita at 7:00 PM 0 comments
Kang Maru accepted Eun gi suggestion to meet up. He jokingly asked if they should meet up as soon as they woke up the next day?. On the next day, Kang Maru waited for Eun gi at a hotel owned by Taesan's Group. Eun gi arrived shortly with Jae Hee after a morning exercise. The chairman and Lawyer Ahn joined them  a little bit later who then asked who was the man beside Eun gi. Eun gi introduced Kang Maru as her boyfriend. The chairman was surprised as it was the first time Eun gi introduced a man to him as a boyfriend and invited him over for  a meal. As they were seated together, The chairman started to shoot Kang Maru with several questions regarding his background and was completely surprised of his lowly background. Undaunted Eun gi shot back by saying that his background didn't matter to her. She was simply following daddy's footsteps which hurt the chairman pride and asked Jae Hee to do anything to chase the man away from his daughter. The chairman left the room accompanied by Lawyer Ahn who was then chased by Eun gi who was not done throwing words to him. Kang Maru was left there with Jae Hee. Jae Hee asked Kang Maru why he did what he did now and Kang Maru said he wanted to bring her down.

Outside the dining hall, Kang Maru catch up with Eun gi who was standing leaning against a wall. He told her not to feel or to say sorry because he didn't feel humiliated or anything. He asked her if she was someone who would abandon her throne for the sake of love. Eun gi said she felt a little embarrassed that she had actually fell in love with him in a short time but she did have a good time with him like she had known him for 12 months although they have hardly started dating for 12 hours. She held out her hand to bid him farewell but Kang Maru refused a simple shake hand and wanted a proper place to meet up next time so they could have a nice goodbye with a kiss. He asked her to call him up to a proper place when she was ready for the goodbye kiss.

Eun gi was prevented by her father to further take up any roles in the company now that she has becoming more and more rebellious against her father. However Eun gi forcefully went in to the meeting she was uninvited to come. In the meeting she came to know the Aomori Taesan Resort was going to be sold in order to gain a capital which going to be used to buy over a profitable company. Eun gi refused the idea because it was her mother favourite place. But Lawyer Ahn who suggested the selling of the place, insisted that it would be going to be profitable for the company and Jae Hee knew a person who could buy it for a good deal. The chairman didn't  want to listen to Eun gi and accepted Lawyer Ahn idea to give Jae Hee an opportunity to be the person in charge to sell the resort.

In the resort, Eun gi called up Kang Maru, told him she missed him and told him about the things she had to do to prevent the resort from being sold. Just when she was about to hang up, Jae Hee proudly stepped in and showed her true colors. She told Eun gi that she would do anything to get what she wanted and Eun gi was not her opponent. Kang Maru overheard them talking. Exhausted from racking her brains the whole night to find a solution to stop the sell, Eun gi rested herself on her chalet's front yard and fell asleep until the morning came. Kang Maru picked her up from the ground and throw her into the shallow pond to wake her up. She was completely caught off guard. She awakened to see Kang Maru standing in front of her. He told her its time to wake up and to kill them all.*cliffhanger.

The true face of  Jae Hee as a villain was finally unveiled today. I think it was because Jae Hee has gained more confidence with herself now that the chairman has placed a responsibility to her.

Get It Done (9/98)

Posted by Nikita at 7:00 PM 0 comments
Today was one of those days where I was able to do my work in full gear. I had listed down tons of my work that need to get done and tried to prioritize those closer to deadline.

I had managed to finish off 99% of two of my many tasks. *smiling..yuhuuuuu...

Well..I don't get the mood to perform most of the time. But today was different because I was really in the mood of striking out all of my listed out tasks.

I had a good time. You know, It is such a blessing to be able to perform in your top condition. Its good. really good...

What more can I say....I am blessed indeed.

Confessions

Watching this movie for the second time made me appreciate the movie even more. The first time I watched it, I wasn't paying attention on Mizuki Kitahara which actually mostly the narrator of the story. But now I did and able to connect the story even better.

The movie was about a teacher named Yoku Moriguchi who had a daughter which was killed by her students. Knowing that the killers were protected by the law she set on her own way to take a revenge.

The killers were Shuuya and Naoki who both had a complex personality. Shuuya was left by the mother and was trying to draw her attention and winning her back by becoming a genius inventor. However the first anti-muggers wallet he won in a scientific fair was gaining less attention in the news than he expected as it was overshadowed by a killing massacre known as Lunacy Murder. He was disappointed and decided to be on front page news by killing someone. He got a helper by the name of Naoki who was mostly an outcast. Naoki was happy to be noticed by Shuuya and wanted to prove his worth by aiding him in the murder scheme. He chose the victim, but Shuuya didn't manage to kill her with the anti-mugger wallet. He however left Naoki who realized Shuuya was only interested in murder and not in him. Naoki noticed that the little girl wasn't dead yet but he decided to throw her to the pool anyway. He wanted to prove it to himself that he wasn't a coward like Shuuya and could accomplish what Shuuya wasn't able to do.

The murder was found out by the teacher and she told the whole class about it referring the killers as student A and Student B. By revealing their characteristics, the students knew who they were and set to bully them in class. Naoki decided to left class and became mentally unstable but Shuuya pressed on despite all of the bullies.

A new teacher who replaced Moriguchi was strung along by her to make sure Naoki wasn't left in peace. She urged him to see him weekly which only made things worse because all the notes from the classmates were actually a way of cursing him. In the end Naoki accidentally killed his mother and he was captured by the police. It happened after his mother came to know that Naoki killed the girl on purpose and she decided to end both of her and her son's life. However, she was the only one killed.

Shuuya became friendly with Mizuki after a forced kiss in the escalating bullying tactics in the class because Mizuki refused to bully Shuuya. Mizuki later confessed to him that the other side of her was behind the Lunacy Murder. Shuuya was only passing time with her and later killed her too following an argument where she accused him of having an Oedipus Complex.

Shuuya next goal was to kill off himself bringing along all of his classmates. But it didn't happen exactly as he hoped as the bomb he planted was taken away by Moriguchi to his mom'office and bombing her mom and her place instead.

What I loved about this movie was, it made the children's as accountable as an adult should be for their crime. I mean who could have thought of that?

It is by the way worth to watch. Amazingly great!

The Innocent Man Ep-3

Posted by Nikita at 7:30 PM 0 comments
Kang Maru managed to save Eun Gi from falling down the steep hill. However, Eun Gi screaming and crying wanted to throw herself down the hill again to retrieve her fallen doll. The doll was the last gift her mother gave her when she left the house and died a month later. Kang Maru offered himself to help her find the doll. He had it in his hand when the rope he had securely tied on a tree and used to go down the hill safely suddenly broke causing him to fall down the hill. He suffered broken ribs from the fall.

Kang Maru was hospitalized. Eun gi felt relieved but perplexed with Kang Maru moved, she came to see him only to bombard him with millions of question on why would a stranger saved her. Kang Maru retaliated asking her to go away since he didn't ask anything as remuneration of his good deeds because he did it on his own free will.

Eun gi's test as a donor for organ transplant for her father  came back positive  but her father refused to do it or to accept her as the organ donor.  Jae Hee took the opportunity and announced that she also had secretly took the test and was positive as an organ donor for her husband. She offered herself to take Eun gi's place as an organ donor.

In the car, moved by Jae Hee kindness Eun gi's father promised to give her a shopping mall. Jae Hee cried and said he didn't have to repay her anything and that she only acted as a member of a family. She lamented of how people always treated her as someone who had nothing. Eun gi's father took her words to heart and decided to hold a lavish wedding ceremony as a way to elevate her status as his wife.

Eun gi feeling unfairly treated by Kang Maru decided to meet him again at his home when she found out he already checked out from the hospital. She was angry that Kang Maru refused to receive all the gifts she sent to him at the hospital as a token of appreciation for saving her life. However when she arrived, Kang Maru was in a rush to fetch his sister who had said goodbye to be with her mother.  Eun gi did not want to be left out and joined him in the car.

Choco went to her mother only to watch how her mother was abused by her stepfather. She reported him to the police which enraged him even further and in return harassed the mother even more.  At the food stall, Kang Maru witnessed how the mother was abused by the man. He tried to break them apart but the man turned to beat him instead. Kang Maru fought him back but the wife beat his back with a plank of wood. Choco arrived at the scene and stopped her mother from beating Kang Maru. After the incident Choco followed Kang Maru back as asked by Choco mother because she couldn't live without the husband who now had started to beat her more because he disliked Choco.

Lawyer Ahn tipped off by an informant  about Jae Hee past with Kang Maru. He stalked Jae Hee and surprised her right when she was walking up to Kang Maru housing area.

Jae Hee visited Lawyer Ahn at home bringing with her a bottle of wine. Solemnly she told Lawyer Ahn everything about her past. He told her how he wronged Kang Maru but she really wanted to stay at where she was now. Lawyer Ahn sent her home. At the front gate, he asked why would she trust him since he had basically lived and had been loyal with the chairman for 25 years. Jae Hee coyly told him he wouldn't dare because he had love her long before the chairman did. She went up to him closely and kissed him. Kang Maru witnessed everything since he was just arrived to send Eun gi home when Lawyer Ahn helped Jae Hee to go out from the car. When Lawyer Ahn had left, Kang Maru went out from his car and that was when Jae Hee realized she has been watched. Kang Maru opened the car door for Eun gi who was surprised she actually slept inside the car. She went out the car and suggested to Kang Maru to meet up with her again because she had developed an interest in him. Kang Maru just smiled while Jae Hee was shocked listening to Eun gi suggestion. * cliffhanger.

Jae Hee was really cunning. She cried fox tears and used her beautiful angelic face to get what she wanted. She used her pitiful past as an excuse to use people as she deemed good for herself. I have started to hate her..immensely. It was also interesting to watch how Kang Maru and Eun gi bickered with each other. They were like two similar people who happened to cross each other's path and wanted to prove which one was the best at throwing the ultimatum words. Nice. Now, there was a faint sign that Eun gi had started falling for Kang Maru. Kang Maru as bad as he seemed , he still always place other people interest before him. Not bad at all. I hope they both will find a place in each other's heart and such cure their broken hearts..

Free Meal (8/98)

Serving plate presentation
The warm tea
The Curry Fish Head
The spicy squid
My plate with yummy food..
The blessing for today? One word. ."Food" ;)

After a meeting at the office, we went for a meal at a restaurant (My bad, I didn't pay attention on the name of the restaurant). As you can see in the pictures above, it's an Indian dishes. How did it taste? Emmm..ok to be fair I think it should get at least 3 stars but the service was good and the environment was comfortable enough for co-workers gathering at luncheon.

We chit chatted, and tried to break the ice, I think? Because me was having a hard time playing middle ground with one of them. I guess it was good to pry a little on that person inner thoughts be it good or bad. Not that I could see it. Perhaps intuitively I could feel an aura? ;)

Well..It did help to calm me down to a tolerable level of again perhaps starting a new chapter with that person? I can forgive people you know. But more so, I think I should learn to not show my single mindedness so obvious I couldn't break a bad spell like not being able to ease up an already burdened heart? For the sake of everyone and the future ahead. Right?

So maybe the real blessing in disguise was the opportunity to throw away my pride just so a new chapter can begin. This time with an open mind and a peaceful heart no matter how many times it will be broken again in the future. Just let the future take care of itself.

I do love a new beginning. It is a blessing indeed.

Sharing is Caring (7/98)

Posted by Nikita at 5:01 PM 0 comments
The highlight of today must be the brief time I shared with one of my colleagues. She was lamenting about how nobody cares about her@ no one really loves her. Hmmmm. Now, that was something not easy to dispel from someone mind especially if you knew her marriage life wasn't working out.

I shared with her some of the things I knew regarding the languages of love and which language will describe her best. (I'll talk about it later in my next post ya! ) She said hers was quality time. She needed attention to feel that she was loved.

She pointed out that UNLIKE HER I was someone who attracted people at first sight and was loved by my mere appearance to which I disputed. That was her opinion. I tried to explain to her how things weren't always how it looked like. Despite whatever she thought about my appearance, I wasn't that much lovable. Trust me! I had been broken hearted many times and also people had said I took things to heart which made them scared because they wanted or mistaken me for someone with an easy going characteristic.

I shared with her how unloved I felt some time, which wasn't far away from how she felt. I think it is normal to feel that away, especially so if you couldn't get the love of the one you loved.Right?

I hope she mulled it over in her head and not starting to have a twisted ideas about what is lovable and what is not. Looks can deceive but people stay and love you because of who you are inside and not how you look like outside. First impression doesn't count for the long term. Right?

Whatever it is, I am blessed indeed to be able to share my mind to possibly help some people to ease their mind about looks and appearance. Maybe all you need to do is to smile more, be sincere, don't try to impress but be who you are and just focus on feeling great being you. You are your best look when you don't compare yourself with others. Right?

Arang And The Magistrate Ep-13 & 14

Posted by Nikita at 7:00 AM 0 comments
As continuation from last episode, Kim Eun Oh @The Magistrate tried to suppress his feelings for Arang but later unable to hold himself when he saw Arang and Joo Wal together. He then bravely laid down his heart and soul and told Arang courageously of how he still wanted to pursue his feelings for her regardless of her responds.

Eun Oh managed to enter the witch house and get a jar which cannot be opened. He brought the jar to Bang Wool the Shaman who later managed to unseal it. When it was opened a vengeful spirit came out and asked Arang for her body. It made Arang scared and reminded her of how the vengeful spirit told her that she would be in big trouble if what he knew about her was correct. She tried to call up Wo young to ask him about the reason why the vengeful spirit wanted her body.

Wo Young showed himself not to Arang but to Eun Oh and revealed the truth about Arang undying body which will became immortal if it was entered by a spirit.

Arang was not doing anyhing despite her limited time. She wanted to go out but she was stopped by Eun Oh. She met the shaman who advised her about living her life truthfully.

Joo Wal met Arang and asked her to give him her heart which made Arang felt sorry for Lee Seo Rim who loved him.

Excellency Choi came to know Arang real identity and revealed it to the witch Mu Yeon who now understood Arang needs which was to know why she died.

Kim Eun Oh talked to Arang about how he met the master who trained him to became a ghost catcher and later gave him the fan. The master was none other than the Great Jade Emperor. It has been revealed by the Great Jade Emperor to Mu Young of his intention to made Eun Oh the next Grim Reaper. Mu Young told Kim Eun Oh about the fan when they both tried to enter the witch hiding place. Another thing that has been given to Eun Oh by the Great Jade Emperor was a hair pin to make his mother like him which according to him didn't turn out exactly that way.

Mu young was the only one who could killed Mu Yeon because he had blood ties with her. When he met her, he tried to kill My yeon with the knife given by the Great Jade Emperor but he failed to do so. A flashback of how My yeon had wanted to leave heaven and enter the body of young girl was shown. Mu Young took her back to heaven but Mu Yeon managed to escape to earth and lived jumping from one body to another for 400 years. Her opportunity to live an immortal life living in Arang body had come to lure her away from the body of Kim Eun Oh mother who was now had started to reject her.

Mu Yeon, Mu Young and Kim Eun Oh came face to face inside the witch hiding place. Kim Eun Oh gaping when he saw her..calling out...shakily.."Omoni"..like he couldn't believe his eyes ** cliffhanger

I think Shin Min Ah character has been greatly redundant in these last few episode. She was so lively when she was a ghost and now that she became a human, she hardly moved a finger. Not liking it. About the hair pin I think it is the key to Kim Eun Oh mother's heart now that she is being possessed by the witch spirit. Maybe it is the key to totally reject the spirit out.

Dreaming by Kim Soo-hyun

Posted by Nikita at 7:00 AM 0 comments

I love Kim Soo-hyun. I fell in love with him in Dream High as the country boy turned talented singer Song Sam-dong. This song means a lot to Song Sam-dong who was gradually losing his hearing ability. I really like this song. It is really meaningful. It's a song about persevering against all odds.

Enjoy the song with me today. K?

Dream High

Posted by Nikita at 6:30 AM 0 comments

When Dream High was broadcasted earlier last year, I was a little skeptical about the drama. Well, it was really an idol casting and most of the cast were having little or no ability in acting.

Credit must go to a few of the lead stars such as Kim Soo-hyun who rocked the drama. Suzy was wooden, Iu was cute, Woo-young was not doing bad and Taecyeon was okay.

Actually the real actors were only Eunjung and Kim Soo-hyun. I felt for their story.
I too liked Lee Yoon-ji character as the teacher.

What I liked about this drama was that although it was not a supposedly great drama but the idea was fresh and it worked. The screen writer managed to flesh out each character nicely and plot wise it was well paced and well connected.

It's worth your time. The first four episode  could be a little boring but the reason why I put this on my blog is because overall I liked it and would love to recommend  you to watch it. It is nice. Say 3 1/3 stars.

Enjoy!

The Three Stooges Learning Microbial (3& 4/98)

Posted by Nikita at 6:30 AM 0 comments

I attended a Microbial Identification Workshop on the 27th till 28th Sept 2012.

By attending the Workshop itself, it has been a blessing already.

To add to that grueling two days, I was accompanied by two fellow friends and together we all had this wonderful time.

To count the blessing itself:

1) I had managed to learn, to understand and to run the Polymerase Chain Reaction Machine which used to be a sky high technical skill for me to reach, what more to run.

2) The Microbial lecture and practical had enhanced my knowledge in that area. It will going to be useful for me to further train the lab staff in my working place.

3) I had fun going out with two of my friends. Wonderful ya!

I am blessed indeed. You know the opportunity to learn what you love to do is something not everyone can have. Right!
